A Multicultural Writer Gets More International Readers?

Does writing in an “International English” get you more international clients?

I have been abroad so long and have always worked in an international environment. Writing for readers who may not be English mother-tongue has become second nature.

I do come from a mixed background. I grew up with British education and American TV and Radio. Sure I still get Americans who say I speak like an English person and English friends say I sound American.

All my professional life I’ve needed to communicate with a wide range of nationalities. I’ve even created marketing and communication materials in English specifically for wide cultural readership. My English has morphed. And my vocabulary has become reduced to fit my environment.

Does this have any effect on my blogs?

This www.cindyking.biz blog has been active for a few months now. At the same time, I also started another blog for articles at Get International Clients.

The blogging has been enjoyable and lead me to dabble in a little Article Marketing. So time went by and I only got around to putting up the statistics tracker for these two blogs on March 5th. That’s 3 weeks ago.

Both websites are should have around 5000 visitors this month, and each readers average around 4 pages. These results surprise me. But what is absolutely amazing is where all the traffic is coming from.

And the articles seem to have a very good audience in non-native English speaking countries.

The Get International Clients weekly newsletter is now firmly underway. New subscribers are signing up every day – and no cancellations so far.

And these subscribers are also very widely distributed around the world. I thought I knew most of the dot country codes. But the subscribers are contributing to my learning more every day: American Samoa is .as

This is wonderful news. Internet businesses are interested in looking at international sales and marketing expertise to get more international business.

But beyond the interest in the subject, I also wonder if the International English has anything to do with the wide geographical readership.

It’s too soon for me to play around with this notion and do any testing on it. But I will be watching how world wide readership evolves.
