Here is the story behind the Get International Clients International Sales Road Map.
The Wrong Excuses
As an international sales and marketing specialist with an outgoing personality, I often run into business owners who say they want to develop their international business, but are not doing anything about it.
In France, I often hear the excuse that there is too much risk involved.
In North America, I often hear the excuse about lack of language skills and culture knowledge.
These excuses always amaze me coming from successful business professionals. I guess it was easier for me. I learned and acquired international sales, marketing and business development skills in the field.
When I lived in my first foreign country, I naively thought I could learn the language and the culture in one year. That was German-speaking Switzerland.
Four years later I could speak perfect German, understand the dozens of different Swiss German dialects.
But I left Switzerland with a full understanding of the value of a mother-tongue and of the many different levels of language skills.
The personal lesson I learned: only culturally naive people can put a time value on how long it takes to learn a language
I jumped into foreign culture feet first. It has been over 25 years now and I have always worked in international business.
Time To Learn International Skills
It takes time to acquire the skills you need for international business development. If you want to develop your international business you need to start developing a certain set of skills.
These skills include personal skills. They will change you as a person.
The excuses I hear from business who want to expand internationally, but are not doing anything, are often excuses to start this personal skill development process.
Of course, with over 25 years field experience I find this easy. And it really is. Easy enough for most of the excuses to be lame and not worth the time wasted.
Get International Clients Website
This is why I created the Get International Clients website. It is a free international business directory for businesses stuck in inaction.
My international business directory, Get International Clients, provides:
- Free information
- Easy how-to instructions
- Guidelines
For all the steps you need to expand your business into foreign markets.
In fact there is a whole international business development system you can use, whether you currently have no international clients, or if you are already selling to clients abroad without a proactive international marketing strategy.
This international business development system is the International Sales Road Map.
The Golden Offer
There is one thing I became very good at throughout all this time:
Pinpointing the right international offer for businesses to expand.
The right offer for your market is the vital ingredient for any business. If you get this wrong your business does not stand a chance.
All of these years in the field has made it easy for me. It is almost a sixth sense.
Now, I do help businesses to find the right international offer they need to expand and develop their international businesses. And those clients pay me well.
This is often the hardest part when you are sitting in one country and trying to sell to another country.
Sharing My Skills
But I wanted to provide good advice to the business professionals I encountered. The businesses I do not have the time to work with, or who cannot afford to pay my fees.
It saddened me to see good businesses wasting time doing nothing.
- Losing money through lack of action.
- Losing competitive advantage to others who are not afraid.
Waiting for language barriers to disappear, or to be miraculously infused with the right international action plan.
So, I decided to analyze my own international success. When I thought about it, I realized I use a system to get there. This system has become second nature to me now. I don’t even think about. This is how I work naturally.
The International Sales Road Map
I started blogging about my system. My blogging became a Business Directory - Get International Clients. The process became the International Sales Road Map.
The process I use to identify the right international offer for an international market is work. But it is easy work: small actions taken consistently with a very easy system. This is the International Sales Road Map.
All of the 8 steps are essential for finding the right international business for your success.
This is the best international business resource I can offer you.
And it is free.
