Thank you for your thoughtful comments. You make some great points. There’s a lot to keep in mind when trying to reach an international audience.

I have to say you have written a very informative and articulate article, a must read for those who want to promote themselves to an international audience , I include myself in this. Recently I have returned to my blog as one of the mediums to prmote the service I am offering, what I try to do is, the following are some of the areas covered:

(A) Keep it relevant – promote real world examples of where what you are trying to do will help others.
(B) Leave your world at the screen – when talking to International audiences , the people reading have a different take on life , different cultural understandings etc. I try to leave phrases out of my postings that others will not understand.
(C) Find content from websites outside from where you live that will be relevant to people who come accross your post, it will mean you engage more with them as they see you have taken the time to research aspects of where they live.
