Cultivate tolerance of all differences. |
To get more international sales you need to cultivate the right attitude to drive your actions. The quote from Jim Rohn above is appropriate. Without the right attitude you will not be able to take the right actions to get the results you want.
Tolerance
A big part of this “right” attitude is a tolerance to things that are different. This tolerance lets us get on with business.
It is almost impossible to take the right actions if you are reacting to cultural differences on a personal level. Any internal turmoil can taint your judgment and perceptions.
It is easier to tolerate differences in others when you are self-confident and know yourself well. This in turn leads to a more focused attention to your current agenda… making your sale.
Take Responsibility Of Your Attitude
The difference between the right attitude and a bad one can be subtle. Be careful how you react to situations and become conscious of your control over your own attitude when approaching cross-cultural encounters.
