Growing up in the Bahamas, it definitely felt like I was in a tiny country, close to a Goliath of a country and a few others that had problems. And they actually have one Romanian song in, as the first one is Russian.. :) Speaking of culture, I don't think this is specific to Romania only, but I'd say knowing the difference between us and other neighbors of ours (like Russia, Hungary etc) would definitely help!
