I like the last tip best of all which is building your international network. I’d add that you need to build a RELEVANT network. And don’t expect people to open you to their own network or recommend you unless t…hey actually know you. So you really need to work on developing relationships first.
- The Gender Wage Gap, Around the World – It definitely pays more to be a women in some countries compared to others. Women interested in International Business should read this.
- Who’s still biased? - It’s no surprise that American companies are not always happy with the diversity training they give their employees. Cross-cultural skills take enormous personal effort and commitment and you also need to be in a context where these skills are needed. So timing has to be right too. Do you think the next generations will be more cross-cultural savvy?
