Cross-Culture Tweets – Week 36 of 2009

by Cindy King on 6 September, 2009

Culture Tips & International Links

@cindykingThis week was a week of social networking and Cross-Cultural Twitter Interviews.

Launch Of The Cross-Cultural Twitter Interview Series

I learned so much doing last week’s Twitter Inteviews that I am going to write a separate blog post.  And I am thankful that I opted for a quiet launch to this Twitter Interview series.  The first interviews were too slow. This was partly my fault for having too many questions and partly due to technical issues. Twitter was slow.

There was a second technical glitch. The promotional tweets to tell people about the first Twitter Interview did not get sent out. I use TweetLater and last Tuesday TweetLater was down because they were in the process of migrating to SocialOomph.

What I did learn was that TweetChat worked very well despite the couple of seconds delay in the tweets coming through. It is great to have a tool everyone can access where you can see live streaming tweets with the hashtag #CKinterview.

After the experience this week the Cross-Cultural Interviews will be in 2 parts:

  • Part 1 – Blog post interview
  • Part 2 – Twitter interview with 10 set questions for everyone later the same day

The first blog interview will be updated with the transcript of the Twitter Interview.  The full interviews with both parts will published both here in this blog and on International Business Ideas.  More about this later.

And you can find a list of all of the Cross-Cultural Twitter Interviews here.

This Coming Week’s Cross-Cultural Twitter Interviews

At the time of publishing this, I am still waiting for confirmation of a second interview and will update this soon.
