Cross-Culture Tweets – Week 21 of 2009

Culture Tips & International Links

cindyking2 Cross Culture Tweets Week 21 of 2009 This week my Tweet Plan was back with 5 scheduled Tweets a day.  Also found lots of other interesting links to Tweet about while online this week.  In particular there is an interesting series of links to different types of world maps.  These are now in the Culture Rolodex.

Find this weeks fun & useful links, & many others, in the right sidebar, in yellow towards the bottom.
Useful Resource Pages

There is also a series of Tweets on changes in social media and why it is a good idea to sign up for the Social Media Success Summit 2009.  Yes, these Tweets were to participate in last week’s competition.  But this is not hype – I really do believe this Success Summit is the best way for businesses to learn what works in social media today.  The 2 previous Success Summits were memorable experiences for me and this one is even bigger.  So I am expecting this one to be even better.

Psst…

This time people from some high spheres are also attending as participants.  This event has really gone nuts!! People are participating from companies such as: Geico, Hilton, Coca-Cola, Avaya, IDG, Prudential, SilverPop, Allstate, Honda, Benjamin Moore, Citrix, MasterLock, Thomson Reuters and SAP!

Let’s see how this raises the quality of the discussions in the private forum and LinkedIn group.

New email & Facebook share options at the bottom of all posts

Just by listening to the chatter that has already started in the private forum and on the LinkedIn group, I have already tweaked my blog. Social media is constantly evolving and it is a new form of communication with different best practices. It takes time to stay up-to-date.  That’s why the format of this event is a lifesaver.  It is fun, easy and very do-able for busy people.  The Social Media Success Summit starts this week, so it’s your last chance to get in on time.

I am not sure how much I will Tweet about the event this week – I do have a busy schedule and the first session is in the middle of the night my end, so I will be listening to it the next day on playback.

Also I am not just listening in on the event this time.  I am concentrating on getting as much as I can out of it myself and am using the month of this Success Summit to do an overhaul of my social media marketing strategy.  I am updating and improving everything that needs to be done during the event.  You are going to notice a big difference on several of my social media platforms at the end of June and an improvement on how they work together.

Do you have an interesting or useful link on international business, or of cultural interest? Tweet me a link.
