Cross-Cultural Communication Challenge – Expand Your Mindset
There is one tiny thing that most people do not pay enough attention to that can have a big impact on your cross-cultural communication success. This is your own confidence. But not any superficial signs of confidence, but rather the deeper more personal confidence:
- Confidence in your own values and everything you are
You see, many people never think about this and when they are confronted with people with different values they feel as if they are under personal attack. This can very easily lead to a communication break down.
Confidence here is not about being aggressive in any way. It is more about not being offended in any way.
Today’s Cross Cultural Communication Challenge Tip reminds us to be confident in ourselves on this personal and rather intimate level.
