Cross-Cultural Communication Challenge – Expand Your Mindset

One of the first things you notices when you begin to work with international clients is that they usually have a different way of doing things. The differences can be as simple as different work schedules:

  • Different working hours during the day
  • Different work weeks
  • Different public holidays

And they can also be more subtle such as:

  • Friday afternoons off
  • An aversion to business breakfasts

And then there are the issues of simply running businesses differently to comply with their local customs or local laws and regulations.

Today’s Cross Cultural Communication Challenge Tip reminds us that we need to allow extra time to adapt to these differences in work habits.
