Link Requests
Do you have any useful online resources for international business skills? I always enjoy finding and linking to valuable resources for building international business skills. If you have any to share, please do.
I Like To Share Links I Find Interesting
get quite a few requests to “share links” or “exchange links”. Very often these requests come from websites that are unrelated to my blog. Some of them are vaguely related to culture and international business. But I don’t want my blog to become a hub for travel or language services. So I usually ignore the link requests I receive.
Besides, I’m here for a purpose to share the skills I have that help me in international business development. So I only like linking to websites I have found interesting at some point in time.
Of course blogs and websites change and I don’t go back to check out all of the places I linked to months ago. So some of them may not quite be on topic… but they were at some stage.
There Are Tons Of Links On This Blog
Have a look at a few of the pages here and you’ll quickly see that I share quite a large number of links. I share links here freely. And these are always links I think my readers will find interesting.
So instead of emailing me to ask for an exchange of links I invite you to show me why I should link to you. Here’s how…
How To Get A Link On This Blog
Comment Luv
This is the simplest way to get a link here. I use the Comment Luv plugin on this blog. This means that when you leave a comment here the plugin captures the link for the last blog post on the blog you enter when you leave your comment.
Unfortunately spammers try to get in under the radar, so all comments are moderated. So…
- Make your comments relevant
- Add value to what’s been written
- Don’t be obviously about only leaving a few words to get a free link back to your site
DM Me The Link On Twitter
I do most of my casual business networking on Twitter. If you think you have a link that would interest me, send me a DM on Twitter with the link. There are a few reasons why Twitter is the best place to share your link with me
- When I’m on Twitter I always have a few seconds to hit on your link and go have a look. I never have extra seconds to click on your link when I’m in email.
- I always retweet anything of interest to my audience and I’ll often share it on Facebook too.
- I regularly go back through my tweets and collect all of the interesting and useful links I retweeted and this time I add the links to the Resource pages here on this blog.
