Cross-Cultural Communication 30-Day Challenge – Get Extreme With Clarity

The challenge in selling to international clients is in establishing a connection between the two cultures.  Sometimes you think you have answered an international clients questions and then realize that you have not.  When you pick this up during a conversation it is easy enough to address.  You simply try to communicate your message once again.  But what about the times when you do not pick up on your international clients’ need for more information or more details.

Here is today’s tip:

Listen to how the other person’s conversation fits with yours

Listen to find out where you need more clarity in your cross-cultural communication.  When your conversations do not seem to fit together, it is easy to make assumptions that go in all sorts of directions.  But remember to question the clarity of your own communication.  The chances are high that this is the cause of any lack of connection.
