Summary Of My Social Media Success Story

At the beginning of 2008 I started adapting my cross-cultural skills and international business development skills to use social media to develop my own international business network. Although I was confident in my international business development skills, I was surprised my social media marketing proved to be successful the first time around. After all it was my first time using social media for business development.

But since my initial success I’ve had the opportunity to discuss this with other international business professionals actively using social media and analyze my results. It appears it’s not so surprising after all. The core areas of competency needed for successful international business provide effective solutions in addressing the challenges businesses face using social media.

  • Adapting your business strategies and tactics to a totally new business environment
  • Managing the risk of doing business in an environment you do not master
  • Skillfully evaluating the degree of flexibility needed to adapt to an unknown market and knowing how to take decisions as needed
