Culture Tips & International Links
Are you interested in all things culture? And in particular how your culture skills can get you more business?
Or, are you simply interested in seeing an example of using Twitter to develop your business.
In mid-November I started a tweet plan to grow my twitter list. I started tweeting culture tips and international links.
That was 6 weeks ago and now I would like to share these tweets with you here for three reasons:
- There are quite a few links here that you will find interesting – take the time to read through.
- Many people around me are still wondering how to use twitter to grow your business – this is the skeleton of my 6 week tweet plan to get targeted twitter followers.
- Event twittering is a service I offer as a copywriter specializing in building international businesses.

The 301 tweets below are listed most recent tweets first and are not grouped in categories. These are:
- My business focused Twitter strategy with useful tips, quotes, polls, surveys and links for you
- Links I found online
- Re-tweeting other useful links
The tweets I took out of this list:

Did You Know? Cindy is the Managing Editor of

International social media

{ 8 comments… read them below or add one }
Quite an extensive list you got here. Thanks for sharing
Thank you dropping by.
Yes, Twitter is a great source of information.
Hi Cindy, although it’s not my first visit here, but it’s my first comment-dropping for you! ^^ Now I finally realized why there’re so many people using Twitter as a business tool. I got alot of adds most of them from ‘online marketing/business/enterpreneur’ or some sort; at times a little put off when thinking they only mainly to attract you as a client, but undeniably it’s one of the easiest tool for mass/free publicity.
I may need some help with that if I’m ever in the business-making field. No idea how to start, but who knows huh.
Thanks Cindy. Fabulous idea.
I think Twitter is more about connecting with people… yes also for business. When people Tweet sales pitches it does not go down well on Twitter. Some people think that sales pitches will be the un-doing of Twitter. Luckily I have not run across any of them.
The only request for money came from someone trying to get money for a charity event. She sent a request for money as a Direct Message – and it stood out like a sore thumb. I don’t think this is the best way to approach people of Twitter for money. It’s better to send people to a landing page, that way it is their choice. It’s the question of push and pull marketing again.
Wow, So long list.
The power of twitter in growing businesses is certainly much more than earlier anticipated earlier by internet marketing experts. Twitter is becoming a search engine as well. I can see so many links found via Retweets. Great Resource.
Rajeev Edmondss last blog post..How To Reward Your Blog Commentators
Hi Rajeev,
Yes, I use keyword alerts to stay up to date… so lots of retweets. Some of the links are real gems! Not to mention the people themselves.
I’m averaging about 80 topic specific tweets a week now, which is still manageable like this. Not sure it would be if I had a more popular subject to follow.
Really love these tweets. I also like the idea of doing them here instead of titter
Glad you like it. Having the tweets here is also very useful for me – it is helping me create some highly targeted Useful Resource Pages – they are in yellow in the right sidebar towards the bottom. Still a work in progress, so I will still list my tweets here every Sunday.
